His musical endeavors swiftly garnered recognition, with his compositions gracing the airwaves of esteemed platforms such as Joe Budden's podcast and amassing over 2 million streams across leading streaming services including Apple Music and Spotify.
While pursuing his education at North Carolina A&T, Kamaal delved deeper into his craft, channeling his creative energies into producing and directing music videos for both himself and fellow student artists. In 2019, Kamaal made his directorial debut with the poignant short film "CUMPLICATED," a compelling narrative delving into the ramifications of pornography addiction. This seminal work served as his calling card for admission into the prestigious USC School of Cinematic Arts MFA program for Film and TV Production, where he would continue to hone his craft.
